The Power of Social Proof
Last Wednesday was Michael Straker's webinar on Online Persuasion: The Power of Social Proof. For those of you who missed it, we've recorded it and have it up on our webinar page. I've also embedded the video below the jump, so hit "more" to watch it.

If the chapter of the book had been linked to the internet, as you might have expected of VKI, it would have been far better. But ok, it was free, so I cannot complain too much.
Lots of my examples came from that book, which isn't surprising seeing as it's the leading book on the topic. I posted a review on the book some time ago, and I'm constantly recommending the book to anyone who'll listen. Here's my post, with a link to the book:

My webinar organizes the materials quite a bit differently than the book, so it's not really a "summary of that chapter". And lots of examples came from other sources.
That said, yes I probably should have included a slide on "recommended reading". Cialdini's books would have been at the top of the list. I'd recommend Dan Ariely's books too, which I've also posted on.
